Maren Morris: Will She Join The Cast Of A Major Broadway Show?
Maren Morris got a call back from the Broadway show “Wicked,” and she was so excited that she posted a tearful video on her Insta stories last night (8/11).
First, Maren posted an image of a witch’s hat, writing, “I got a call back for Wicked. I am in tears; what the hell.” She said in the video clip of her sitting in her tour bus, “I literally don’t even care, yes I do, if I go beyond this callback because this is like 14-year-old Maren getting to achieve something that was never in reach, it just never felt possible.”
She added tearfully, “So, thank you for being on this journey with me. We’ll see where it goes. I’m just really happy. I love Wicked. I love Kristen Chenoweth; thank you, Kristen, for inspiring me to buck up and send a self-tape in. I don’t know what to say.”
In May, Morris said she sent in a tape for the Broadway production at the advice of one of the show’s stars Kristen Chenoweth.
