Dunkin’ and Harpoon Releasing Three New Beers, Including One Made With Actual Coffee Rolls
Beginning this month, Harpoon’s Dunkin’ Box O’ Beer mix packs will be available at all Harpoon locations. In addition, the Dunkin’ Pumpkin Spiced Latte Ale will be available on draft at the brewery and in six-bottle packs.
There is no doubt that Starbucks has the Pumpkin Spice Latte; however, for the fifth year in a row, their coffee competitor at Dunkin’ is providing some terrific counterprogramming to a seasonal espresso drink: seasonal beers, including a brand new beer inspired by and made with the Dunkin’ Coffee Roll.
This autumn, Dunkin’ has teamed up with their Boston-based sister company, Harpoon Brewery, for a line of beers in order to provide thirsty consumers with four unique tastes. The 12-pack ‘Harpoon Dunkin’ Box O’ Beer’ includes their pumpkin-spiced latte ale, which has a new recipe for 2022. In addition to three new beers, all of which are made with Dunkin’ coffee, the pack includes cold brew coffee porter, hazelnut blonde stout, and coffee roll cream ale.
In addition to the 5.2% ABV Pumpkin Spiced Latte Ale’s oat milk, which helps create a latte’s creamy mouthfeel, the new Coffee Roll Cream Ale has a balance of “cinnamon goodness and coffee roast” at 4.6% ABV through the use of actual Dunkin’ Coffee Rolls. In order to capture a little of the creamy sweetness in a Dunkin’ “Regular” order, dairy has been added to the new 6% ABV Cold Brew Coffee Porter, which includes 6% ABV Hazelnut Blonde Stout. Finally, the 6.2% ABV Hazelnut Blonde Stout delivers a “rich nuttiness with a touch of sweetness” to get you up in the morning, just like your hazelnut coffee.
Dunkin’ vice president of retail business development Brian Gilbert said that the company’s latest beers feature coffee rolls and other coffee flavours, raising the partnership’s flavour to a new level.
Dan Kenary, the CEO and co-founder of Harpoon, discussed the partnership’s growing legacy. According to him, ‘This year marks our fifth year partnering with Dunkin’, and it’s such a pleasure every year to see brand fans excited about which Dunkin’ products we’ll be adding to our beers next. We can’t wait to kick off the autumn season with our New England neighbour once again and celebrate another successful year of Harpoon Dunkin’ beers.’
Harpoon has announced that a beer release party will take place at their brewery on September 16 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The new brews will be available for the first time, and attendees will also get the first tastes of Dunkin’ Harpoon IPA Donut, which last year became the first donut made with beer as an ingredient thanks to its IPA jelly.
Starting this month, Harpoon Dunkin’ Box O’ Beer mixed packs will be available at Harpoon locations across the country. In addition, Harpoon Dunkin’ Pumpkin Spiced Latte Ale will be sold on draft at the brewery and in bottled six-packs.
