The Cranberry Has Been Passed By Cannabis As Massachusetts’ Top Crop

Cranberries have been Massachusetts’ biggest money-making crop for years. According to Leafly and it’s 2022 harvest report, that has changed.

Goodbye cranberries, hello weed.

Cannabis is Massachusetts’ new top crop according to the report. Cranberries made $66 million in 2021 while Bay State-grown cannabis pulled in… wait for it… $361 million.

I wonder if Ocean Spray is considering adding “weed juice” to it’s portfolio.

Time to take a victory lap, Bay State! You were just named the “Most Fun” State in New England. But maybe you’ll want to cut that victory lap short because it’s a bit of a back-handed compliment.

WalletHub loves themselves some state-by-state rankings and they recently dove into the “Most Fun States In the Country.” Massachusetts was tops for New England… but… New England as a whole didn’t score very highly on their fun scale.

I think we’re fun. We love going to the beach, picking apples, bragging about our sports teams, going on Dunks Runs, complaining about our sports teams – life is a hoot!

Oh well, my fellow party-poopers, here’s the state-by-state breakdown of “The Most Fun States In the Country.” As the list progresses the states get less-and-less fun!! How fun!
