Everyone's talking about this $2 million tiny shack in Massachusetts. But no one's surprised.

Because it's Nantucket.

The island enclave for the rich and richer is so pricey, 360 feet of shelter costs you more than $2 million dollars.

But the SHIPLAP! Who cares if it's $2 million or tiny? It's Massachusetts!

Megan Johnson reported the story for Boston.com.

"Built around 1970 but fully renovated in 2021, the price tag for 2 Cabot Lane, Unit A, may seem hefty, but the property could be considered a bargain compared with the eight-figure estates surrounding it."

According to her interview, the realtor, aid J Pepper Frazier II of J Pepper Frazier Real Estate said the price is all about location:

The Cliff Road/Lincoln Circle area for $2 million is unheard of. It’s kind of the small fish in the big pond because of the waterfront billionaires," he told Johnson. “The Cliff Road billionaires are a couple of hundred yards away, where one’s going for $22 million.”

Well, THERE GOES THE NEIGHBORHOOD.

"A private, cozy front yard leads to the home, which welcomes you with shiplap walls. The kitchen area features all new appliances, and a ladder leads up to a loft, which could serve as an additional sleeping space."

IF YOU ARE TWO DIMENSIONAL.

I used to party on Nantucket back in the day. Figawi was this off-the-hook sailing event where the uber-rich would deign to drink with sloppy 30somethings like me all in the name of charity.

But now it seems like Nantucket is pricing even rich people out. And asking that only the SUPER rich apply.

The Vineyard isn't much better. Check out this one-bed, one-bath, 512 square-foot shack for $2.15 million:

Is it just me or do you want to do a deep dive on the people buying these places? What do they do? How much do they make? Did they commit a crime to come into all of this money? HOW????

Guess we'll stick to hotels for the time being.
