Morgan Myles

In case you missed it last night, former Boston resident Morgan Myles gave a stunning performance on NBC's The Voice. The talented singer/songwriter attended Berklee College of Music, and still holds Boston close to her heart. In fact, she told me that "Boston is a big heart in my life." Morgan sang a Chris Stapleton classic.

Morgan's audtion on this season of The Voice earned her a highly coveted 4 chair turn! All 4 coaches wanted her on their team. Ultimately, Myles chose Camila Cabello as her coach. She has been consistently good, and completely professional in her performances. She is a seasoned road warrior and it shows on stage. Morgan has mentioned that she has actually played every state, over the years. She's earned her top 10 place on this competition show, and is fighting hard to win it all.

Last night was her best performance yet. She seemed to be having fun and completely at ease. It was fan night last night on The Voice and Morgan's fans chose wisely. They picked Chris Stapleton's "Tennessee Whiskey" for her to sing. Morgan's performance was powerful and beautiful. See for yourself!

Watch it here!

Two weeks ago, we watched in awe as singer Morgan Myles took center stage on what was likely the biggest night in her career, so far. She had earned an audition spot on one of the most popular shows on television. The one-time Bostonian was competing in the Blind Audition rounds of NBC's The Voice.

Morgan had chosen Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah." It's a song universally known, partially because it was featured in the 2001 animated film, Shrek. Chosing a song so familiar, and so connected with another artist can be rough. But Morgan absolutley slayed, hitting every note with perfection delivering passion in every word. The result: 4 chair turns. Every coach wanted Myles on their team. She chose Camila Cabello.

I talked to Morgan about her state on mind going into the competition show. We chatted about her song choice, her coach choice and what's next for her on the show. We also talked about the singer/songwriter's connection with Boston, where she lived here and singing the National Anthem at Gillette Stadium. There's much to get to so, let's get to it.

I can't get enough of this performance. And I absolutely cannot wait to hear the song Morgan and her partner will sing in the Battle Rounds.
