Thomas Rhett’s latest song, “Half of Me,” a duet with Riley Green, is about wanting a beer. So, we asked Thomas to tell us what he considers the perfect beer, and it turns out it’s as much about the setting as it is about the actual beer.

He told us, “I mean, I think the cliché answer would be to drink a beer on the beach. But I like cold drinks in cold weather now. So, my epitome of the perfect beer is like, in a hot tub on a ski mountain, being able to set a frosty Coors Light in the snow.” He added. “There’s just something about that, I don’t know what it is, but that is my favorite. I mean, I can envision it right now. Being in Telluride, Colorado, drinking a Coors Light in the hot tub, while it’s just getting freezing in the snow. ”

“Half of Me’s” chorus includes the lyrics, “Half of me wants a cold beer / Yeah, that’s the cold hard truth / And with a ‘frigerator stocked full of ’em / Tell me, what’s a boy to do? / I ain’t even tryna fight, it’s already been decided / The sky and the mountains are blue / Half of me wants a cold beer / And the other Half does too.”

Speaking of cold weather, Rhett recently invited fans to a winter wonderland with the release of his first-ever Christmas collection, Merry Christmas Y’all.

Thomas said in a press release about the new album, “I love everything about Christmas – there’s nothing like the holiday season,” said Thomas Rhett. “I wanted to record some of the Christmas songs that my family and I enjoy every year. I hope this music gets everyone in the holiday spirit!”
