Dolly Parton Debunks CBD Products Using Her Name
Dolly Parton has many endorsements and products these days, including Doggy toys and outfits, cake and brownie mixes, and her own line of perfume and body spray. However, she does not have a line of CBD products, and her team let everyone know on her socials.
In December, Facebook users started to see ads that mentioned Parton by name. They featured pictures of her, leading to articles that claimed she had endorsed CBD gummies that could “reverse dementia.” This statement is simply false, as she never endorsed CBD gummies.
Her team posted to Instagram last night (2/1), “Dolly Parton is not affiliated with, has not endorsed, and is not associated with any keto or CBD gummy product. She’s more the cake, cookie, and cornbread type – Team Dolly.”
Many of Dolly’s fans reacted to the post, and some were hot about it. One die-hard wrote, “Girl, what?! Who is messy with our Girl’s name?!” Another fan said, “Thank goodness for Dolly! Sometimes a person just needs a big piece of cake slathered in icing to make their day complete!” One more fan commented, “Dolly has never seemed more relatable to me.”
Dolly recently announced her Duncan Hines line of baking products, including cornbread, cakes, and brownies. She said in a statement, “I have always loved to cook and, growing up in the South, I especially love that authentic Mom and Pop kind of cooking. I am excited to launch my own line of cake mixes and frostings with Duncan Hines, bringing that sweet, Southern-style baking experience I enjoy to others.”
Another product she is endorsing is her own Funko Pop! Figure. The Dolly Parton Funko Pop! Rocks are available for pre-order now. The two designs are: Pop! Rocks: Dolly Parton Glastonbury 2014, a 4.37-inch vinyl figure of Parton clad in a white, sparkling pants suit with a silver glitter electric guitar for $15; and Pop! Rocks: Dolly Parton, a 4.50-inch vinyl figure of Parton in an orange pants suit strumming a banjo for $12.
