Local Man Takes Final Run Down The Slopes After 90 Years Of Skiing
A local, heart-warming story has been floating around social media recently.
Herb Oedel, a 97-year-old skier, has been hitting the slopes for an incredible 90 years. He has been visiting Ski Bradford in Haverhill on a yearly basis, and recently he booted up one last time before retiring his skis for good.

Herb and his wife Ginny, 100-years-old herself, posed for the picture outside the lodge at Ski Bradford. The resort posted it on their Facebook page, and the caption that went along with it said it all: “Congratulations Herb, it has been a GREAT RUN.”
The skiing community has been very supportive of Herb’s retirement. The post on Ski Bradford’s Facebook page has over 27-thousand reactions and over three-thousand post shares at the time of this article’s posting.
As a skier myself, Herb’s 90-year-run is beyond inspirational. Congratulations, Herb!
