Cape Cod, Massachusetts Is About To Spend Big Money to Get You To Visit NOT In the Summer
Cape Cod is jumpin’ jumpin’ all summer long. I lived there for 5 years and there came a certain time every weekend where you settled in somewhere and just knew you weren’t going to travel far – even a mile – to avoid the gridlock traffic. Then the offseason comes… and…. crickets.
Cape Cod is looking to change that.
The Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, and Nantucket chambers of commerce have been awarded a $1 million Travel and Tourism Season Extension Grant from the Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism. That grant will be used to fund a marketing campaign which will look to beef up tourism during “the shoulder season,” which runs from November through April.
It will be a “Christmas On Cape Cod” campaign. Special Christmas events will be organized and promoted, even using Instagram and TikTok to help reach younger demographics.
Cape Cod’s beaches are unbelievable any time of year. They’re beautiful (and private!) in the winter too. Multiple Cape beaches made the following list of the best beaches in Massachusetts. See if your fav Mass beach made the cut:
