Riley Green loves to make country music and is known for his hit duet with Thomas Rhett's "Half Of Me." Riley is also opening stadium shows for Luke Combs on his 2023 tour and will be playing in Nashville this weekend on Friday (4/14) and Saturday (4/15). One thing is for sure; Green will not be playing any backstage Pickleball with his band or crew. It turns out Riley is not a fan of the new sports craze.

Green said when he was a guest on the Barstool's Bussin With The Boys podcast recently, "Here's my problem with Pickleball. It's the same problem I have with ping pong or pool, for that matter. It's such a game of skill if you play it, you can be really good at it."

He added, "I don't like games somebody less athletic than me can beat me in." Riley is a former college football player and is very athletic and into sports. On his social media, he mostly shares show pics, clips, and his passion for hunting and fishing.

For those who may now know, Pickleball is a paddle sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton & ping-pong. It is a game that is appropriate for players of all ages and skill levels. Rules for Pickleball are simple, making it a great introductory sport. Many country stars love to play the sport backstage at shows on tour, including Dierks Bentley, who actually won a televised pickleball tourney hosted by CBS talk show host Stephen Colbert.

Bentley told us not long ago that his band and crew started playing Pickleball on the road to pass the time between soundcheck and the show. He said. "We would just put some masking tape, duct tape, down on the parking lot behind the busses and start playing and got into it, a fun thing to do out there on the road."

As we get into the new year, people are starting to work on their New Year's resolutions. For many, those resolutions involve getting in shape. Here, we take a look at the country music stars today who work on their health full-time, making sure they look and feel as good as possible.

A bunch of country stars work on their health, but we found the top five and ranked them to number one. Here's who we believe are the fittest stars in country music today.

This one was too close to call, so we are listing two country stars at number five. Dierks Bentley constantly rides his mountain bike, does many bike marathons, and sits in a barrel of ice as an annual ritual. He is a fit guy who loves playing outside and having fun whenever possible. Carly Pearce is reasonably fit and eats right 90 percent of the time, and does a daily run to stay on top of her game physically.

Kenny has always lifted weights and worked out since he began his country music journey years ago. He always looks spot-on and buff and fit as a fiddle.

Kane has been working hard and working out for a couple of years. He is so fit and tight that not long ago, his wife had to post a video to Insta stories with Brown saying that he is not too skinny; he's just been working out a lot.

2 - Tim McGraw

Tim is the buffest male country star today and often shares his working out on the road when he travels, which includes lifting giant tires. Many country stars who tour with him in the summer end up starting a workout program like him. In 2016, he was featured in Men's Health magazine as one of the fittest guys in the music business. In 2019, he published the book Grit & Grace: Train the Mind, Train the Body, Own Your Life.

Carrie loves to eat right (she is a vegan), exercises every day, and has the best legs in country music to prove it. She even has her own line of workout clothes (Calia) and works out with a fitness app called Fit52 alongside her husband, Mike Fisher.

Nancy Brooks has been working in the country music industry for almost 30 years. She has interviewed pretty much any country star you can think of. In the late 1990s, she started working with Dolly Parton. And yes, Nancy reports that Parton is as sweet as you would think. She loves her life in country music and has been backstage at every CMA Awards show since the late 1990s. Many of her stories are from her one-on-one interviews. She was there at the beginning of the incredible careers of many music superstars today, including Taylor Swift, Shania Twain, and Blake Shelton, and has interviewed them multiple times throughout the years.
