(Photo by Matt Winkelmeyer/Getty Images for iHeartRadio)Morgan Wallen gave a huge update on his Instagram page on May 9th. His vocals are injured again. But this time, doctors told him to take six weeks off. What will this mean for Boston at Fenway Park?
In the video, Morgan is sitting alone on a rocking chair with a backwards hat when he delivered the news.
"I got some bad news from my doctors at the Vanderbilt Voice Center yesterday....I got scoped yesterday and they told me I reinjured my vocal chords and that I have vocal fold trauma. Their advice is that I go on vocal rest for the next six weeks so that's what I'm gonna do..."
Morgan Wallen already took ten days off and cancelled three shows after having to cancel a show in Oxford, MS just 30 mins before taking the stage. This weekend in Florida he tried to perform and by the third show he said that his voice felt awful.
Morgan continued by saying, "...They told me that if I do this the right way I'll be back 100%, but if I don't listen then I will have permanent damage to my voice."
He is working on rescheduling dates. He announced that he won't be performing at the ACM's or The ACM's Lifting Live event.
