Jimmie Allen is being sued by his former manager for assault and sexual abuse. Variety spoke to the victim, who is being identified as "Jane Doe" in a Tenessee federal court. The lawsuit was filed today (May 11). Variety also spoke to two additional sources: a friend, and Jane Doe’s mother. They spoke to Variety to verify her claims, recounting her telling them about the alleged abuse. Variety reviewed hundreds of Jane Doe’s text messages, including many with Allen. They also reviewed texts with Ash Bowers, the founder of Wide Open Music, the firm where she worked at the time. Additionally, they reviewed text messages with her friend, and family members that corroborated parts of her story.

The details of the allegations against Allen are graphic. Variety goes into great detail with them. It is NSFW and potentially triggering.

Jimmie Allen's Statement

In a statement to Variety, Allen claims that he had a consensual sexual relationship with Jane Doe. The statement read: “It is deeply troubling and hurtful that someone I counted as one of my closest friends, colleagues, and confidants would make allegations that have no truth to them whatsoever. I acknowledge that we had a sexual relationship — one that lasted for nearly two years. During that time, she never once accused me of any wrongdoing, and she spoke of our relationship and friendship as being something she wanted to continue indefinitely."

He added that she retained a lawyer, "Only after things ended between us." The statement also said, "Her accusations are not only false but also extremely damaging. I’ve worked incredibly hard to build my career, and I intend to mount a vigorous defense to her claims and take all other legal action necessary to protect my reputation.”
