Foxboro Commuter Trains Canceled For Track Repairs – Could Impact MBTA Taylor Swift Trains

The MBTA’s Foxboro Commuter Rail tracks weren’t ready for this: a truck hitting a bridge in Dedham causing damage to the rail track above. Because of this the MBTA announced that all MBTA Commuter Rail trains to and from Foxboro have been canceled “until further notice” so track work can be done on the Dedham train bridge.

Commuters going to or from Foxboro can use the Franklin line for the time being, the MBTA said.

The timing of this closing is unfortunate since Taylor Swift will be at Gillette for 3 shows this weekend. The MBTA sold special Taylor Swift train tickets to make getting to and from Gillette Stadium shows easier using the commuter rail line. They even put a second round of tickets up for sale, increasing service, and those tickets sold out in seconds. Now, they don’t know if they’ll be able to have it fixed by the shows.

  • What time do lots open?

    Parking lots open at 2:30PM. You can check out the parking map here.

    Gates open at 4:30PM. You can enter through the Bank Of America Gate, the CVS health Gate or the Ticketmaster Gate. Fans with field seating should enter through the Enel Plaza ONLY!

    Be sure to download your tickets via the Gillette Stadium App.

    If you are in need of the box office, please note the main ticket office is currently closed due to the construction of the stadium. There are two ticket office trailers on-site. One of them is located in the North end of the East Club parking lot and the other is located outside of the W3 entrance which is near the CVS Health Gate.

  • What Is The Parking Situation?

    The parking lots will open at 2:30pm event and will then close right after the end of each event. For ticket holders, Gillette offers general parking. You can also park on the stadium side which is $35 for prepaid parking. View the parking map HERE.

  • Can I use cash at Gillette Stadium?

    Gillette is a completely cashless stadium, for all purchases, so you many only use contactless payment. There are cash-to-card kiosks around the venue if you need to put cash on a card to use.

    General Admission Gates: CVS Health Gate, the Ticketmaster Gate and the Bank of America Gate

    Field Seating: The Enel Plaza ONLY is open for all field seating

    ADA Entry: Either the W2 or E2 elevators

  • Where Is Parent Drop Off

    Fans traveling from the South should use Lot 15A and those traveling from the north should use P1 for all drop-offs. For Parents who are planning on staying on-site, either waiting in their cars or at Patriot Place, should park in General Parking.

  • Where is Parent Pick Up

    Parents traveling from the south should use Lot 15A, which is next to the Bass Pro Shop for drop-offs and pick ups.   Parents traveling rom the north should use lot 3A for pickups.

    Please note that limos and buses will not be allowed to either drop off or pick up in stadium lots.  You will want to plan accordingly if you are traveling in this manner.
