Here's my live one-take of "Run To You" by Lady A!

Hey guys! My name is Ayla Brown. I am the morning show host of "Country Mornings with Ayla Brown" on Country 102.5. But, before I got my job in 2017, did you know that I was a full-time musician? In 2006, I competed on American Idol and placed 13th overall! It was a wonderful experience. I will have to tell you all about that another time, and give you all the dirt on Simon Cowell.

While I still sing on stage and have shows all over New England, I am also a radio host! That means I get to use my voice in a different way. Every morning on Country 102.5 I use my super professional "talking voice" and chat about country music. We do other segments too, but the coolest part of this job is that I can fully immerse myself into the country music industry.

Here are some of my favorite pictures from our station events. Like Street Party, interviewing artists, and working in the studio.

I still sing all the time, so I thought I'd share a video of my husband, Rob Bellamy and I singing a Lady A song that we both love. We met in Nashville in 2017, began writing songs together, and now we still perform together.

In our opinion, "Run to You." is one of the best Lady A songs ever written. Here's our take of the classic song! And don't mind our dog, Brate. He's awesome, we already know :)

I feel like everyone has a fantasy of having a song written about them. And my husband, Rob, wrote one for me as a surprise for our wedding in August of 2021. After the ceremony we walked over to the grassy dance floor. I thought the band was going to play a cover song by Elvis or something, but instead it was an original song that Rob had written and recorded for me down in Nashville.

"New Last Name" was co-written with Bill Whyte and recorded by Smith Curry and his amazing session musicians in Nashville. It's the most beautiful song I've ever heard. And now everyone in the world can hear it too! If anyone is getting married, this would be a perfect "first dance" song. (Yes, I will share!)
