Harpoon Pickleball Combines a Hot Sport with Cold Beer
Harpoon Pickleball? Is that the Boston brewery’s latest beer offering? Nope. It’s the news of pickleball coming to Harpoon Brewery.
Folks, you heard it here first: Harpoon Brewery now has pickleball courts. The beloved Boston beer maker has partnered up with Hub Sports Boston. The new venture from the pair has been dubbed Pickleball Social Club: “a new space with pickleball courts, shuffleboard and more.” And it’s open now–daily, from 12:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.–at the Harpoon Brewery in Boston.
The press release continues: “The space fits 400 people and has four pickleball courts, two shuffleboard courts, and numerous cornhole boards. There will be food from Harpoon Kitchen and custom menu items like a Pickle Pop from WildPops.” If you’re a seasoned pickleball pro, you can even join a league. Or, if you’re a pickleball noob just looking to get a taste, you can reserve a court.
Harpoon Pickleball Combines a Hot Sport with Cold Beer
Harpoon Brewery was recently one of the 64 Massachusetts breweries featured in our Boston Brewery Battle. While they didn’t win it all, you don’t need me to tell you good their brews are: you’ve known for years. So won’t it be nice to toss back a Rec League or two after you get in a game or two. Because, as you’ve probably heard, Massachusetts is the most pickleball-obsessed state in the U.S.
And again, you don’t have to be a pickleball veteran to get in on the action. Hub Sports Boston would be more than happy to have you join a league if you are! But if you’re just looking to try pickleball out in a fun, welcoming environment with great beer and food nearby, Pickleball Social Club is your best bet.
