Whoops, sorry. My subliminal must have added that LOL to the article title. When people think of Massachusetts, do you think they think “oh those well-balanced, calm people in Massachusetts”…

Whoops, sorry. My subliminal must have added that LOL to the article title. When people think of Massachusetts, do you think they think "oh those well-balanced, calm people in Massachusetts" when thinking about us? I don't even think that about myself and of course I want to think positive things about me.

The study, which was conducted by CBD oil products company CBDfx, crunched data from the United Health Foundation’s American Health Rankings to determine which states had the lowest rates of people reporting stress. And Massachusetts made the Top 10?!? Most of my conversations during most of my days are consoling people who are stressed to the max - not gonna lie, some of those times I'm the one doing the venting. Thanks friends. This leads me to believe that we're in the Top 10 least stressed and most relaxed, dang those other states must be a real hot mess!!

So what state is the MOST relaxed? That honor goes to South Dakots. Hawaii makes sense at #2 most relaxed, Maryland came in at #3. Massachusetts just made the Top 10, coming in as the #9 most relaxed/least stressed state in the US. Massachusetts scored an overall score of 83.84. To put the score into perspective, South Dakota was #1 with an overall score of 96.20, New Jersey finished just above Massachusetts at #8 with an 84.41 overall score, and West Virginia came in dead last at the bottom of the list, or MOST stressed and LEAST relaxed.

Do you agree that Massachusetts indeed is one of the most relaxed, zen states in the country? We would absolutely LOOOOOOVVVVVEEE to hear your thoughts!

And it's not just safe driving in Massachusetts, we just did really good at safety in general in another new study.
Neighborhood Scout determined their top 100 by using each town/city’s population and total crime rate per one thousand residents to determine the chance of being a victim of crime there. The lower the chances of being a victim of crime, the safer (obviously). Mass has 4 towns in the Top 10!! Check it out:

When you've decided to settle down in a community and lay down some roots there are factors you need to consider. Invitation Homes says top things to keep in mind when choosing where to move include these 9 factors: Cost of living, Size of town or city, Housing, Traffic, Schools, Health needs (proximity to health care), Job Prospects, Entertainment and Social scene, and Safety.

A survey by OnePoll on behalf of Arlo found that 52% of people feel on edge about their personal safety every day.

Massachusetts just got some high praise for the safety of many of it's communities. The Bay State is well represented in NeighborhoodScout’s 2023 Top 100 Safest Cities in the U.S. list - Massachusetts has 4 of the Top 10 spots!

But while Massachusetts scored well in safety it does come at a price as Mass was named "One of the Most Expensive States To Live In For 2023." Click the link for that uplifting story. Please note sarcasm.

Back to the good news: Massachusetts has 4 of the Top 10 Safest Cities in the Country! *applause* Neighborhood Scout determined their top 100 by using each town/city's population and total crime rate per one thousand residents to determine the chance of being a victim of crime there. The lower the chances of being a victim of crime, the safer (obviously).

So let's count down the Top 10! We'll give you the city, it's population, it's crime rate (per 1,000 residents), and finally *gulp* the chances of being a victim of crime in the town/city. (I hate the sound of that.) Congratulations Massachusetts on 4 in the Top 10! And another New England state takes the #1 spot!
