Who Is Massachusetts Favorite Peloton Instructor?
Earlier this summer, we highlighted three Peloton instructors from New England (scroll down to see the list). However, a study from earlier this year by Finance Buzz revealed that Massachusetts’ favorite Peloton instructor is actually from North Carolina.
In this report, Finance Buzz analyzed Google trends data to determine who was the go-to Peloton instructor in every state. “Each Peloton instructor has their own style, and over time, you find who you vibe with and who you don’t,” they explain.
They found that 19 different instructors (out of roughly 50) were selected as favorites across various states. Ally Love took the crown with eight states claiming she was their favorite instructor. This included Maine and New Hampshire in New England.
In Massachusetts, it turns out we actually have something in common with the state of New York when it comes to popular Peloton instructors. The home state of the Red Sox and Yankees were the only two areas aligned to this particular Peloton instructor.
And the winner is…
Cody Rigsby
Though born in California, Cody Rigsby grew up in Greensboro. He attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Ultimately, his path led to being a professional dancer prior to joining Peloton.
Rigsby is known for his outgoing personality that he injects into each class. You may also know Rigsby from being a competitor on Dancing With The Stars in 2021. He was paired with Cheryl Burke and finished third in the competition.
On his Peloton profile he says, “Success happens when you allow yourself to be in the present moment — when we truly let go of any regret of the past or fear of the future.”
When asked how he motivates his riders, Rigsby says, ” I want members to have fun while they’re working out, and remember that even though it’s challenging.” He adds, “It’s not that deep!”
