Remember when we gasped at the thought of holographic Michael Jackson at the 2014 Billboard Music awards? Well, this latest cinematic feat has us gasping yet again. This time for the one and only, Celine Dion.

Celine Dion never physically filmed with her co-stars in the brand-new Netflix extravaganza, 'Love Again.' As an unapologetic, card-carrying member of the Celine Dion fan club (I did belt out "I Want You To Need Me" on American Idol in 2006, if you must know), I was intrigued and slightly befuddled. How could such a thing even be possible? It's not like we're living in some futuristic era of holograms and... oh wait, we are.

How Celine Filmed From Canada (By Herself)

Let's break this down for the less tech-savvy among us. In the age where Zoom calls have become our bread and butter, and CGI dragons look more real than my chances of getting on American Idol again, Celine and her team took full advantage of modern cinematic trickery. With a mix of green screens, advanced CGI, and some masterful editing, voila! Celine could act her heart out in Canada, while her co-stars did their part in the UK.

Sam Heughan, the actor who played Rob in the film told Entertainment Weekly, "We shot during the pandemic, and it was obviously very difficult for people to travel at the time, so we did shoot a lot of it on sound stages and on green screen."

If you watch the movie you'll never believe that Celine was never even in the same room as her co-stars. You can thank modern technology for that!

When you see the movie, you'll notice that Celine Dion plays a huge role in it. She's in many of the scenes and she's even having conversations with the other actors as if she's in the same room. It fooled me! In one scene Celine and one of the actors were even sitting on the same couch. It looked like they were in the same room!

Celine Dion's Movie Co-Stars

Speaking of her co-stars, have we mentioned the remarkable ensemble that joins her on this journey? Former Miss Universe, Priyanka Chopra plays the main female character, Mira, who lost the love of her life in a car accident. She begins texting his old cell phone number to realize that there is someone else on the other end. That guy is Rob, played by the talented Sam Heughan, who not only answers her messages, but answers her heart. (Can someone please pass the tissues?)

Priyanka's real-life husband, Nick Jonas makes a cameo in the movie as well, which is cool to see.

Nick is only in one scene, but he does a good job acting. Priyanka on the other hand plays the main female character.

Celine Dion's Music Was The Entire Movie's Soundtrack

Now, let's get to the music - the soul of the film. Every single track in the movie? Yep, you guessed it. Pure Celine Dion. From the tear-jerking ballads that made her a household name to the upbeat numbers that make you want to dance in your living room, the soundtrack alone is worth the watch.

Be prepared to sing "It's All Coming Back To Me Now," "All By Myself" and "Courage." If you  have never heard those songs, you have some homework to do.
