Taunton has one of the most unique haunted places in Massachusetts, the Holiday Inn. If you think about it, thousands and thousands of people pass through for a night during a hotel’s lifetime. Undoubtably unfortunate things happen to a small percentage of people when they stay at a hotel. Could the Taunton Holiday Inn be haunted by a ghost who possibly passed while staying at the hotel?
One thing is for sure: there has been a good amount of patrons who claim to have experienced paranormal type activity while staying there. One guest says they stayed there twice – both times on the 5th floor (that’s a commonality throughout many reports, seems that 5th floor is jumpin’ with activity for whatever reason) – and both times left in the middle of the night because of uncontrollable, unsettling negative feelings that were dreadfully persistent.
The most commonly reported haunt occurs at the Holiday Inn’s stairway “near the 28 rooms.” Voices have been heard by multiple guests saying various things but the most reported phrase whispered by the hotel voices in the wind is: “Leave here now.” Well alrighty then. You don’t have to tell me twice, spooky specters!
