This year they are celebrating their 29th year. On October 14th, shoppers can buy a variety of items to raise money for Norwood High School.
What Is A Craft Affair At Norwood?
The Craft Affair is a yearly event where vendors set up tables inside Norwood High School and sell their hand-made items. There will be vendors selling a variety of items from wreaths, ceramics, paintings, clothes, handbags, baby bibs and baked goods.
Other activities include raffles, a kids' craft table, and a bake sale. One can't mention the event without giving a nod to the NHS Friendship Club. This exceptional group of youngsters will be showcasing their creativity with hand-painted pumpkins.
This year, there may be a fall-themed photo backdrop area where families can pose against.

There will be over 90 vendors this year at A Craft Affair at Norwood. It's only $5 to get in!
A Craft Affair At Norwood Is A Community Event
A significant part of what makes the Craft Affair stand out is its commitment to funneling its proceeds back into the community. Approximately 50% of what's earned goes directly to the Norwood Post Prom. It's an initiative ensuring that Seniors have a memorable, safe, and substance-free prom night. This gesture underscores the importance the community places on creating fun, wholesome memories for its youth, without the looming shadows of peer pressure or potential substance misuse.
The other half of the proceeds are channeled towards enriching the lives of students in diverse ways. Some of the money will go to athletic teams. Other funds will go to various student organizations that champion causes and kindle passions.
Norwood High School Students Volunteer All Day Long
On the day of the event, NHS students are not just beneficiaries; they are active participants. Their involvement in the logistics is commendable. Several teams enthusiastically assist crafters with unloading and setting up their stalls, ensuring a smooth start to the day. As the sun dips, and the event concludes, these teams return, helping with packing up. This hands-on approach, as I've been informed, is a rare yet highly appreciated feature of the Craft Affair. Crafters often express gratitude for this gesture, emphasizing the seamless experience it offers them.

There will be vendors selling all sorts of handmade items. There will be baby bibs, home décor, clothes, baked good and more!
