Snow On The Way In Massachusetts This Weekend – Here’s What We Know
Get ready! The snow will be here before you know it. For some, it may actually be here THIS weekend, October 23. So technically, we are smack dab in the middle of fall. But we all know, in New England, the weather does not understand calendars and it can be extremely unpredictable. In most homes, we play the heat game. You know that game: How long can we go without turning the heat on in the house. Not sure if this is a way to save money or if it’s just a fun game we play with ourselves. Either way, as the weeks go on, it’s getting harder and harder to avoid the fact that, the snow is coming!
Will Massachusetts see its first snow fall this weekend? It is a possibility. According to WCVB Channel 5, we are expected to get significant rainfall in greater Boston this weekend. HOWEVER, “depending on how quickly the colder air comes in, there is a possibility for some snowflakes to fly across the higher elevations of the Berkshires and Green Mountains of Vermont late Sunday night through Monday morning.” Granted they’re talking about the mountains in the Berkshires, but this is a clear sign that winter is on the way here in Boston.
For the rest of us in the greater Boston area, this weekend will just be another rain storm. Unfortunately, there have been several weekend wash outs lately and this weekend seems to be developing into another one. Hey, on the bright side, it could be snow. And we could be immobile with multiple blizzards. In the meantime, let’s prepare for the upcoming winter season shall we. Let’s take a look at some of the most creative space savers we’ve seen in Boston over the years. But don’t get any ideas! Or maybe you can.
