The Nomination
As reported in People, Aya was nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy. The nomination recognizes her work in her role with the series as sous chef Sydney Adamu, a Culinary Institute of America-trained chef and a Chicago native.
If you haven’t seen The Bear on Hulu, I highly recommend it. It’s intense and exhausting, but completely satisfying, like a really good meal. It stars Jeremy Allen White (from HBO’s Shameless) as the head chef who takes over a failing family sandwich joint in Chicago. The popular show received a total of 5 nominations, including Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy.
See the winners announced at the Golden Globe Awards on Jan 7, 2024. The awards ceremony will air live on CBS, locally WBZ TV Channel 4.
