Carly Pearce Has A Christmas Tradition She Never Misses
Carly Pearce has a boyfriend (her band’s drummer B.C. Taylor) and a couple of sweet dogs (Johnny and June) to celebrate the Christmas holiday with this week. However, she told us there is one tradition she has with her mom at Christmas that she always does.
Carly told us in a recent interview, “My mom and I have two movies that we watch every year. We watch The Family Stone, and we watch The Holiday, and that’s kind of our thing. We may watch them twice. I always know it’s Christmas when my mom and I are on the couch watching that. And now it’s like we have a glass of wine, and we eat popcorn, and that’s just a very special time for me.”
She added, “And I would say, my parents, we’re very big animal people. So, when I see the animal stockings that look identical to our family pets, when they’re hanging I know it’s Christmas, which my mom puts those out pretty early ’cause she loves them.”

Pearce hosted and performed at last year’s (2022) CMA Country Christmas. She sang a few holiday songs during the ABC TV special, including “Here Comes Santa Claus.”
Carly told us that she has a shopping problem when it comes to Christmas; she loves to get ready for the holiday by shopping. She] told us, “I have a shopping addiction. So, whether it’s online or in a store, I am there for it, I am here for it, and I love any excuse to shop.”
She adds she often gets just the right gift, “I feel like if it’s the people in my life that I am super close to, I can usually nail it. But if it’s people I don’t know as well, I have a hard time figuring out what to get them.”
