Kane Brown’s New Baby Boy’s Name Will Follow Family Tradition
Kane Brown and Katelyn revealed the gender of their third baby last night (1/9) in a video post to Instagram. A few hours later, Katelyn jumped onto her Insta Stories to answer a few fan questions.
One fan asked if the girls were excited about the new baby boy and if she and Kane would be sticking with the letter K for the boy’s name. All the family at this point have names that start with the letter K. Katelyn replied, “Absolutely! We’ve committed and can’t stop now.” She added, “We have a good idea of the name but would love to hear more! Feel free to share!!”
Another fan asked how her pregnancy differed from the first two, and Katelyn said, “So far, it has been the exact same.”
In the posted clip, Katelyn asked Kane in a sweet video they both posted to Instagram, “What do you think it is?” Kane says dryly, “It’s a girl.” Katelyn then tells the girls, “We have a surprise.” She explains, “We know if the baby in mommy’s tummy is a boy or a girl.” She asks Kingsley, “Do you want to find out? The big sister says, “Yeah.”

Katelyn tells her, “See that cake right there? It’s either pink or blue in the middle. Do you want to cut into it with us?” Kingsley says, “Yes,” and the couple put their wine glasses in the cake to reveal blue cake. The whole family squeals in delight, knowing a baby boy is coming into the family.
Kane posted the video to Instagram, captioning the video, “Gender Reveal (heart emoji)!!!!!!!!!”
Brown posted the family baby news on his Instagram, announcing through a Christmas Day photo that he and his wife, Katelyn, are expecting their third baby.
At the time, he shared a family photo of his wife and children — Kingsley and Kodi — sitting on a white couch in front of one of their family Christmas trees. Kingsley, their four-year-old daughter, is holding a sonogram of the new baby.
Brown captioned the post, “Last Christmas of 4 (heart emoji). Merry Christmas, everyone!!
