The weather is *starting* to warm up – depending on what day and/or hour and/or minute you’re looking at the thermometer. That means: BEACH WEATHER IS COMING!! The Massachusetts Lottery has finally jumped on trend in a big way – Great White big – by releasing a brand new Jaws Scratch Ticket!

Players of the new Jaws scratch ticket will have the chance to win both $1 million and a summer vacation package to Martha’s Vineyard. Martha’s Vineyard of course being the filming location of Jaws back in 1975.

Why is the Mass Lottery launching a Jaws Scratch Ticket in 2024?

First of all it’s legendary, it’s a piece of Americana, it was filmed right here in Massachusetts. But the actual reason is this: it’s in celebration of the movie’s 50th Anniversary which is coming up next year. Woah! Jaws turns 50!! When does the Jaws scratch ticket start rolling out?

March 26th… soooo… they’re out there!! The ticket costs $10 each. It’s a really cool looking scratch ticket, especially if you’re a Jaws fan. Jaws is featured prominently on the tickets in it’s “I’m darting for the surface where that unsuspecting swimmer is just plodding along” look from the movie poster.

The lottery is releasing over 8 million of the tickets with a top prize of $1 million and the Vineyard vacation. Also cool to note – if you scratch off a shark fin you win $100 instantly. That’s a hell of a lot better than a shark nibble.
