Kowloon Expanding Into New Hampshire This Summer!

That’s right! Kowloon New Hampshire is coming! This is not a drill. However, there are a couple caveats. Kowloon opened way back in 1950. Back then it was known as…

Kowloon Saugus. Kowloon New Hampshire coming soon.

That's right! Kowloon New Hampshire is coming! This is not a drill. However, there are a couple caveats.

Kowloon opened way back in 1950. Back then it was known as Mandarin House and sat around 45 people comfortably. Almost 75 years later, Kowloon (after a name change) seats 1200 and has settled into New England lore. The Saugus Wings alone are legendary and a must try for anyone living in the Boston area. And they're not just an Asian cuisine restaurant. They're a comedy club. They're a pro-wrestler post-show hang. They're a piece of the fiber of New England and especially the Boston area.

The Wong family owns Kowloon and after almost 75 years they've decided that it's finally time to expand. Kowloon is currently working on a collaboration which will bring Kowloon to New Hampshire for the first time ever. The Brook in Seabrook, NH announced on Monday that a new Asian dining concept is coming to its casino-entertainment venue this summer from the makers of the iconic Kowloon, aka the Wong family.

Will Kowloon New Hampshire be twinsies with Kowloon Saugus?

From what we understand the new concept will NOT be a photocopy of the original. Seems like a good idea, duplicating something so local and beloved elsewhere could be challenging and water down the specialness of the OG. There will be things from the Kowloon menu on the new menu - but it won't be the same menu at all. It will feel like Kowloon while also feeling different.

What will Kowloon New Hampshire be called?

No name yet, no menu released yet. But Mai Tai's and Scorpion Bowls have been confirmed so that's already a pretty good start. I'll also place a short bet that those wildly famous Saugus Wings will be on the new menu. Will they get a New Hampshire-centric name change? God I hope not. They're SAUGUS Wings, dang it!

Speaking of restaurants, want to know the best places to grab some food at Logan Airport? THIS might be a great article to bookmark so you're ready next time you fly. Nothing worse than flying with a weird stomach because you ate nasty food.

Best Logan Airport Restaurants – 6 Places to Get the Best Meal in Logan

Airport food gets a baaaaaaaaaadddd wrap! Not without reason though, I remember many a bad meal at an airport while I was growing up. Thankfully a lot has changed as far as the quality of airport food goes. You can find a variety of cuisines and even breweries inside airports nowadays. Logan Airport actually has some pretty dang good eats! So... for any of you who have clicked on this article to try to avoid flying on an unsatisfied stomach, FEAR NOT! I'm about to arm you with the 6 Best Logan Airport Restaurants so you can start (or wrap up) your trip right!

Before the Best Logan Airport Restaurants, How Does Logan's Culinary Offerings Compare to Other US Airports?

Food & Wine Magazine ranked the Top 10 US airports for the best food options and Logan International Airport finished...... nowhere in the Top 10. There was even an extra "Editor's Pick" added onto the Top 10 - it wasn't Logan - so that means that Logan Airport isn't even in the Top 11 of the Top 10 best airports for grubs and noms. Disappointing. But again, we got you! Logan International Airport has plenty of delicious enough options ready for you. Maybe not Food & Wine good... but that's ok, I'm probably not fancy enough to hang with them anyway. Especially in my travel clothes. lol

These are the 6 Best Logan Airport Restaurants. Go to any of these and unless someone's having a really bad day, you'll get a meal that'll make you say "dang, I forgot we were in an airport!" Until you remember the pile of carry-on's tucked tightly next to your table.

I'll give you the restaurant, a quick description, a dish recommendation, and where it's located inside Logan International Airport. That way you can check your gate and find the nearest delicious destination from the Top 6.

Davio's Northern Italian Steakhouse

Davio's is a well-known national and New England steak chain. They're known for their quality and while the quality is perhaps not quite as high in the airport version, it's still really good! My family eats at Davio's pretty often while flying out of Logan. I always go with a nice house salad with grilled chicken. It never disappoints, it holds me over, and doesn't make me feel all gassy and uncomfortable on the plane. Not the sexiest sentence I've ever typed, but it's honest.

LOCATION: Terminal C

Another Massachusetts/New England staple. When my family isn't eating at Davio's pre-Logan flight, we're here. I love Legal. It's kind of in my New England blood. What to order? Duh. Your last shot at Boston/New England Clam Chowdah. Get it, get it before you fly those friendly-ish skies.

LOCATION: Multiple (Terminals B, C, and E)

Kelly's Roast Beef

We love us some roast beef sandwiches in New England and Kelly's is one of the area roast beef king pins. What should you order here? Some roast beef sandwiches. Order an extra couple to pack away in the carry on. Your flight neighbors will love when you break out a saucy Kelly's roast beef mid-flight. That's sarcasm. But if you offer them a bite maybe the sarcasm will melt away.

LOCATION: Terminal B

Lucca

Lucca is a North End of Boston staple. In case you don't know, the North End is our Little Italy. Not much Italian food that comes out of the North End isn't top notch so if you're looking for a good in-flight pasta nap, go here. 3 recommendations: ragu, bolognese and ravioli. Enjoy!

LOCATION: Terminal B

Santarpio's

Man, we're doing a tour of Boston eats right inside Logan Airport! Santarpio's now has a Logan Airport location. Santarpio's is constantly in the Best Pizza in Boston discussion - frequently winning. So if you're craving some of our best pizza, Santarpio's is hand-tossing them for you right at Logan. I haven't personally eaten a Logan Santarpio's pie to compare to the real deal OG, but from what I've heard Logan's pies are pretty good. Not quite as great as Eastie, but what do you expect? It's still Santarpio's!

LOCATION: Terminal C

B.GOOD

I don't know about you but I LOVE B.GOOD. I love their mission of using local ingredients and supporting local farmers and food producers. And I love the quality of their fast, casual foods. If you're looking for a really good, semi-elevated fast food burger and fries, hit B.GOOD. It's a little more expensive than a McDonald's but it's a whole different fast food beast. And it's responsible.

MENU: HERE
LOCATION: Right past security. Otto is there as well. Great pizza place which started in Maine.

DUNKIN'!!!

They're everywhere. As they should be in BOSTON's Logan Airport. Make sure you get an iced to go. Better coffee than on the plane and you'll need it to deal. lol
Plus we New Englanders love Dunkin' so much we'll make a meal out of 5 orders of hash browns if we have to.
I love their hash browns.
