My Fat Friend Always Takes The Biggest Bed When We Vacation Together And It’s Not Fair
Jason goes on vacation with the same group of friends every year. They all pay the same amount and then draw straws to see who gets the best bedroom. But one of the friends is fat and complains so much if he doesn’t get the biggest bed that he always ends up getting it. Should Jason just let the fat friend have the bed because he’s bigger and he needs it? Or is he justified in making the fat friend sleep on a couch and taking the best bedroom?
Jonathan: Today for panic button we have Jason. Hey, Jason.
Jason: Hey, guys, what’s going on?
Jonathan: So you have a problem with this friend of yours that you don’t want to see in your bed. Explain what’s going on there.
Jason: Yeah, it sounds so spicy when you say it like that.
Jonathan: Yeah.
Jason: So, every year I go on a guys trip. We do a long weekend out with a bunch guys, like ten guys. We rent a big place on Airbnb. And just to make it even, we draw straws to see who’s going to get the best bedroom. And you go on down from there. Who’s going to have to sleep on a couch.
Jonathan: That’s very fair.
Ayla: That is such a dude thing to do. Yeah. Okay, I got you.
Jonathan: Oh, what do women do, pillow fight for it?
Ayla: Yes we do, Jonathan. We’re all fighting with pillows and we do it half naked
Jonathan: , I suspected. What were we talking about? Yeah. Jason. Go ahead. Sorry. You guys draw straws. Got it.
Jason: So we did that, and everything’s fair. And my buddy who drew the short straw, the last one, he had to sleep on the second couch. Not even the good couch. The second couch. And he is very heavy. Like, fat.
Ayla: Oh?
Jason: Very, very heavy. And he whined and complained and was like, listen, I’m really overweight and I can’t fit on this thing. And you guys weigh 150 pounds. so I should get a bed. And so we all just acquiesce because that’s who he is. And we don’t want conflict or drama.
Jonathan: Yeah. We’re guys.
Ayla: God, I would love to be 150 pounds again. I’m massive.
Jonathan: She’s pregnant
Ayla: Yeah, I’m really pregnant at the moment. You probably know that. Okay, so basically, your overweight friend is stuck on the couch that he can’t fit on.
Jason: Yes, exactly. He complained until he got his way. Because again, we’re guys we don’t want drama. So we’re like fine whatever. Take the king size bed. And now I have to sleep on the couch because he got my bed. Right?
Ayla: I think you guys should fight it out like we do with our pillows.
Jonathan: Stop. I got so distracted.
Ayla: All right.
Jonathan: So you just think it’s not fair. It’s not your fault that he’s overweight. Everybody has some problem. I have a really bad back. I could sleep on a couch, but it would suck for me if I would.
Ayla: You complain, though, Jonathan.
Jonathan: I don’t think I would in my book. I would just go, oh, that’s gonna suck. I’m going to be in pain.
Ayla: So you would just deal with that?
Jonathan: I would just deal with it.
Ayla: I’m just thinking if I were pregnant and someone was like, sorry, Ayla. I know you can’t help it. You’re very massive right now, but you’re going to have to sleep on the couch. I would probably say something.
Jonathan: You would say something.
Ayla: I would probably definitely say something. And then I would get the pillows out, all right.
Jason: If he’s pregnant, then he has a free pass.
Jonathan: Right? Right.
