New England Has 2 Stops On Guy Fieri’s New ‘Best Bite In Town’ Series
A few spots in California, Kentucky, Tennessee and two New England establishments are among the places to be featured in the first season of Food Network’s new Best Bite In Town.
Guy Fieri’s crew is rolling out in a new way. “Guy’s got a packed schedule thanks to his DDD travels, so he’s calling on Noah Cappe and his closest chef pals to help find the most delectable dishes in towns from coast to coast,” Food Network explains.
Other additional chefs appearing in the show include Tiffani Faison, Shota Nakajima, Joe Sasto, Aarti Sequeira and Jet Tila. In each episode, they are tasked with visiting some of the restaurants across the town they are in that are considered to be the best. “After scouring the town and tasting a wide variety of cuisines, Noah and the Bite Club nominate three exceptional dishes to present to a panel of esteemed culinary judges to determine the Best Bite In Town,” What’s Up Newport explains in anticipation of their episode.
Here’s What To Expect With Food Network’s new Best Bite In Town Hitting New England
As noted, Newport, Rhode Island, is one of the first markets to have these Food Network personalities pop into six of the finest restaurants in town. “They’ll taste everything from chowder and noodles to burgers and biscuits in the hunt for what they think is the most amazing dish,” Food Network explained. This episode will first air on Friday, May 24, at 9 PM EST.
However, prior to the Best Bites In Town crew showing Rhode Island some love, they made a stop one state south. Episode seven of season one featured New Haven, Connecticut. This was the first city on the East Coast to be featured on the show.
Jet Tila and Tiffani Faison joined Noah Cappe. A few different sandwich and burger joints were sampled here. Of course, you can’t hit New Haven without talking about pizza. Apparently a hot honey pizza was the choice selection. If you missed this episode, it will air again on Saturday, June 1 at 5 PM EST.
In a press release the Food Network shared announcing the show back in March, Cappe explained, “It’s more than just finding the best bite in town; it’s about celebrating the heart and flavor of each community.”
It appears from the other towns this new show has visited the plan is for smaller-tiered cities will be featured first. Davis, California, Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Joplin, Missouri are some of the other places season one includes.
In New England, we would suggest exploring Portland, Maine or Burlington, Vermont next.
