Kenny Chesney Mourns The Loss Of A Close Friend
Kenny Chesney took to Instagram to honor one of his close friends from the Islands. He posted several images of himself along with his friend, whom he called “The Ghost.”
He captioned the somber post to his almost 2 million followers, “So a very hard goodbye to a close island friend, Curtney Chinnery AKA ‘The Ghost From Jost.’ He was a part of island life for so many years. Someone I thought would just always be there.”
Kenny continued, “He was so curious and full of imagination and one of the most creative human beings I’ve ever met. That’s how we connected. Creativity. He was a poet among poets, and I’m gonna miss him for so many reasons.”
He closed the sweet post saying, “So goodbye, my brother, and thank you for your friendship and all the laughs. ‘GHOST OUT.'”

Chesney surprised fans at Gillette Stadium in Boston when he came out to pay tribute to Tom Brady, who was getting his Patriots number retired. The country star sang his song “Boys Of Fall” for Brady at his Patriots Hall of Fame Induction.
Kenny posted photos of himself performing for Brady at Gillette Stadium and with the football superstar. He captioned the post on Instagram, “It was a thrill to be back in New England and an honor to sing #BoysOfFall for the great @TomBrady last night at @GilletteStadium.”
Many of Chesney’s faithful following commented on the post, including one fan who wrote, “See you there in August @kennychesney!! Best day of the year!” Another fan gushed, “What an amazing night!!! Thank you for coming, Kenny; we love you.” One more fan said, “Honestly, the dedication was amazing, but when you walked out on stage, I lost it.”
The singer will perform three sold-out nights in Boston in August on his “The Sun Goes Down” tour.
