Two Massachusetts colleges have been deemed the most attractive to have on dating profiles by experts, when compared to other colleges across the country. It might not be the one you think, either. Dating profiles often contain where you went to high school, college or grad school. It makes sense, because people bond over their schools and are excited to talk about their alma maters.

Massachusetts Colleges That Are Hot on Dating Profiles

I went to Michigan State University, and I usually bring this up quite a bit, mainly because I'm into sports and follow college sports. I have high hopes for our football team this year, but who knows. That's another topic for another story. This story is about the most attractive colleges to list on your dating profiles. As it turns out, people find some schools more attractive than others when scrolling through online dating profiles. So, having these colleges on your dating profiles can actually make you more attractive in someone else's mind.

The experts at DatingAdvice.com recently researched and surveyed 3,000 singles to find out "whether degrees on resumes from certain universities or colleges make people more attractive in the dating world." They discovered that on dating profiles, it does make a difference. According to the research, "The results rank by state where alumni from certain universities stand to have more success in finding a partner."

Before we get to out state, let's look at the No. 2 most attractive college to have on dating profiles. It's the University of Notre Dame in Indiana. "Picture this: a partner who can talk about philosophy over dinner and still make it home for Sunday football," they state. "It's no wonder Notre Dame grads are so appealing; they're basically the full package wrapped in a Fighting Irish bow." No. 3 is Stanford, with DatingAdvice.com stating, "Stanford grads bring an irresistible mix of ambition and laid-back Californian vibes. They're the kind of partner who’ll brainstorm start-up ideas over coffee and then take you surfing."

The No. 1 most attractive college to have on your dating profiles is actually Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Well, of course going to an ivy league school is an attractive thing. It's almost embarrassing that people would look for that on a dating profile, because it seems like they're just looking for someone with a lot of money or prestige. In any case, DatingAdvice.com states that it "isn't just about Ivy League charm. A Harvard degree screams, 'I'm the whole package!'" Also in the top 10 is the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) MIT at No. 5. "MIT grads are the ultimate problem-solvers, the kind of partner who’ll fix your Wi-Fi and then build you a robot for fun," they explain.
