Boston Has One Of The Best Pet-Friendly Hotels In America
For many people, a family vacation or getaway just isn’t complete without bringing along their furry friends. Luckily, some hotels and short-term vacation rentals offer the perfect chance for your pet to tag along, too. USA TODAY compiled a list of the best pet-friendly hotels in America, carefully selected by an expert panel and voted by readers as the best in the U.S. These hotels stand out for their special animal amenities, and many are conveniently located near pet-friendly attractions.
You may even get lucky and book a stay at a hotel like Chicago’s Park Hyatt Hotel with a live-in hotel dog.
The Best Pet-Friendly Hotels in America
Taking a look at their top three, the best pet-friendly hotels can be found in Tennessee, California, and Wisconsin. Number one on their list is The Peabody Memphis in Tennessee. According to the outlet, this hotel is known for its mallard ducks, who spend much of their day in the lobby fountain. In addition to the resident ducks, the Peabody also welcomes dogs, however, they must be leashed or in a carrier when in public areas.
Following behind is Huntington Beach, California’s Paséa Hotel & Spa. This hotel has its own private dog park as well as pet-friendly luxuries such as a pet menu and dog-friendly accommodations. “The Huntington Dog Beach, where dogs can go for a swim leash-free, is only a couple miles away,” also mentioned by the outlet.
Wrapping up the top three is The Iron Horse Hotel in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The outlet highlights that dogs of all sizes are welcome to spend a night at the hotel with their owner for a $100 pet fee. They also offer the Big Dog Special, which includes treats in a pint glass, an in-room plush pet pillow, a toy, and more.
Boston Hotel: Best Pet-Friendly Hotel in America
While not in the top three, Boston’s Fairmont Copley Plaza takes spot number eight. “This luxury hotel pampers pups with their VIP (Very Important Pup) Perks and Fairmont Furiend package that includes a guide to dog-friendly attractions, an exclusive biscuit box, and a complimentary doggy blow-out,” the outlet mentions. And if travelers missing their own furry friends, they can visit Fairmont’s Canine Ambassador, Cori Copley, when she’s “on duty” in the lobby greeting guests.
Other hotels mentioned on their list include Four Seasons Hotel Austin, Oregon’s Headlands Coastal Lodge & Spa, and The Plaza in New York City. Check out more of the best pet-friendly hotels in America with the complete list here.
