What’s The Perfect Summer By The Numbers?
There are people who LIVE in the water during the summer . . . and people who avoid it like the plague. But overall, most of us enjoy taking a dip to cool off.
A new survey asked people about their PERFECT SUMMER, and it found that on average, people hope to get in the water 11 times every summer. That includes pools, oceans, and lakes.
Here are some other stats for the perfect summer:
1. 14 days with loved ones. That’s exactly the amount of time most people get for vacation time, so it’s nice to see that they choose that time to be with family.
2. 13 burgers. That averages out to a burger a week, which is probably an ideal number to get your fill without getting tired of them. The best idea is to make them a little different each time to try something new.
3. 11 hot dogs. Hot dogs used to be Americans number one summer time cookout meal, but now that hamburgers have taken over, still that averages out to slightly less than one a week all summer. That’s about right.
4. 11 scoops of ice cream. You have to wonder if people are really settling for just one scoop of ice cream because most places you go to try to stack up the scoops so high that they barely stay on the cone.
5. 11 sunsets. The idea of watching 11 sunsets during the summer sounds magnificent. It’s nice to set aside time to appreciate how beautiful they can be. That seems like we could easily to 22 sunsets.
6. Eight sunrises. we hope this means that people are up early perhaps on vacation to appreciate an early sunrise. Unfortunately for most of us on the way to work. Let’s still take the time to enjoy them, it’s a great way to start any day.
7. Seven days ON the water . . . things like boating, tubing, and kayaking. If you’re lucky enough to spend this much time on the water than good for you. Even being near the water is a good thing in the summertime, or for any time for that matter.
8. Five “new experiences.” These can be five different experiences that are new that don’t necessarily have to cost a lot of money. Maybe you have a bucket list of places you want to go or things you want to do. Either way it would be satisfying at the end of summer to know that you check them all off.
9. Three different adventures or short trips, and two trips across state lines. It’s important to try new things and go to new places and yes crossing the state line is always a good feeling. It’s always nice to see that state welcome sign isn’t it?
10. Two entire bottles of sunscreen. This is definitely good idea if you plan on doing all of the above. As the song said back in the year, 2000, take advice, and always use sunscreen.
We wish you luck on achieving these numbers during the summer, with just about half of it left until Labor Day, there’s still plenty of time to check these boxes
