Museum Welcomes Back Four Year Old That Broke Priceless Vase
This museum is being touted as one of the best after this incredible gesture towards a young boy. We originally found this amazing story on the Good News Network’s website. We had to talk about it as a Cup O’ Joy on The Andie Summers Show.
In Haifa, Israel, a four year old boy accidentally knocked over a 3,500 year old vase at a museum. His father, Alex Geller, didn’t see it happen but heard it happen. Isn’t that just so true for parents everywhere? The Hecht Museum responded in such a beautiful way.
Busted Vase At Museum Turns Into Something Beautiful
Despite being told just how rare this object is, this tale turned into a happy one very quickly. They noted that this museum is built for families to come and visit, and sometimes, well things happen of course!
“The jar was most likely originally intended to be used to carry local supplies, such as wine and olive oil,” reports the BBC. “It predates the time of the Biblical King David and King Solomon and is characteristic of the Canaan region on the eastern Mediterranean coast.”
They brought the family in to help rebuild a different artifact and made it extremely interactive for the children and family to attend. This is how you treat guests, this is how you get great PR. If it wasn’t all the way in Israel, you know I would be taking my family to go enjoy it!
