Hurricane Milton Destruction
Late Wednesday night, October 9th, Hurricane Milton made landfall near Tampa, Florida. The category five storm sparked mass evacuations in the central Florida due to high winds and flooding concerns.
More than 3 million households and businesses have lost power across Florida, according to poweroutage.us. According to CNN, many have been rescued from their homes in waist deep water. They are continuing to update as the recovery efforts continue.
Tropicana Field Roof Ripped Off
Home of the Tampa Bay Rays, the roof of Tropicana Field has ripped off completely from Hurricane Milton destruction. It served as a homebase for first responders during the storm. According to a local Fox affiliate, nobody was injured when the roof was torn off.

We are keeping our fellow Americans in our thoughts and prayers. This on the heels of the devastation of Hurricane Helene damaging states more north of Florida. This will be a continuing story we hope to keep you updated on.
