He’s currently on a very hot streak, actually just tied the record for the most consecutive World Series games with a homerun. He has homered in games one, two and three to start off the 2024 World Series. But he also homered in the last two games of the 2021 World Series in which he played for the Atlanta Braves. He currently ties the record set by George Springer.
In that streak, included this amazing grand slam to end game one in the bottom of the tenth inning.

But this impressive streak isn’t exactly why we think you should be rooting for him. It actually has a lot to do more with his son, Max. In July of this year, he was rushed to the hospital and was later diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome.
What is Guillain-Barré Syndrome?
“Guillain-Barre (gee-YAH-buh-RAY) syndrome is a condition in which the body’s immune system attacks the nerves. It can cause weakness, numbness or paralysis,” according to the MayoClinic.

After eight days in the ICU, he was able to come home. He has been attending physical therapy in order to regain his ability to walk again. Progress videos have been posted on social media inspiring millions of fans.
