Zac Brown + Other Country Artists To Pay Tribute To Grateful Dead
Last year, MusiCares named The Grateful Dead as their 2025 Persons of the Year. This prestigious recognition honors the band’s monumental impact on music and culture, capped with an all-star tribute gala that promises to be a true celebration of their legacy.
The annual MusiCares gala, which takes place on January 31 in Los Angeles, will bring together a diverse lineup of artists to pay homage to the legendary band known for their unique blend of rock, folk, bluegrass, blues, reggae, and psychedelic sounds. Hosted by Andy Cohen, the evening is not just a celebration but also a fundraiser to support music professionals in need. This year, funds will additionally aid those affected by the Greater Los Angeles wildfires.
MusiCares announced a vibrant roster of performers that echoes the endless influence The Grateful Dead has had across genres. Among the notable acts are accomplished artists like John Mayer, who has famously collaborated with Dead & Company, and Dave Matthews whose rich storytelling and passion resonate deeply with Dead’s ethos.
