Popular HEYTEA Cheese Tea Shop Opens First Massachusetts Location in Allston
An international chain of cheese tea shops has entered Massachusetts, opening its first-ever location in Boston.
HEYTEA took to Instagram on Friday, Jan. 24, to announce its Allston store opening at 162 Harvard Ave. According to a report by MassLive, HEYTEA is open daily from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The Boston Restaurant Talk blog reported on Tuesday, Jan. 28, that a Back Bay shop on Newbury Street could be coming soon.
HEYTEA, which was founded in Jiangmen City, China, in 2012, says it is “revolutionizing the tea industry by introducing the first-ever Cheese tea,” according to a statement on the company’s website. HEYTEA offers several tea options, including fruit and milk tea, both beverages topped with a rich, cheesy foam. Additional products include Brown Sugar Bobo Milk Tea, Cheese Grape Bloom, and Mango Grapefruit Boom — all made with real dairy products and tea.
Since its founding, HEYTEA has expanded worldwide in Australia, Canada, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, and the United Kingdom. Its U.S.-based shops include California, New York, and Washington.
