Massachusetts Lines Up Over 50 Family Activities for February School Break
Across Massachusetts, tons of family activities will pack the February school break from the 15th to 25th. Kids and parents can choose from more than 50 events spread between Boston and the edges of the Berkshires.
Kids can build mini ships at the USS Constitution Museum’s LEGO Maritime Festival, running February 17-25. Blades, the Boston Bruins’ mascot, will show up at Steriti Rink’s free skating party on February 21, with snacks included. Two days later, people at Walden Pond can watch ice blocks being cut just like they did in the past.
Up north, you’ll find winter fun at the Stevens-Coolidge House, where Hike & Seek kicks off February 16. History lovers should check out the Concord Museum’s special tribute to President Lincoln on February 17.
On Cape Cod, Yarmouth comes alive with its winter carnival from February 15-17. Kids interested in science can get hands-on at the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History’s chemistry workshops.
In central Massachusetts, families can go skiing during Wachusett Mountain’s Vacation Week starting February 17. The EcoTarium takes visitors on a journey to prehistoric times through February 21.
Western Massachusetts is packed with fun activities. Experience life in the 1800s at Old Sturbridge Village from February 19-21.
When it’s chilly outside, catch the Blue Man Group’s shows through February 23. Art fans will find cool programs at the Museum of Fine Arts from February 19-22, while cartoon lovers can enjoy the Bugs Bunny Film Festival.
South of Boston gets fun as the James Library turns into a mini-golf course on February 18. In Taunton, the Old Colony History Museum hosts kid-friendly activities through February 21.
Presidents’ Day closes offices on February 17. Many activities need early registration – spaces fill up fast.
