Chick-fil-A has introduced its famous original chicken sandwiches and waffle potato fries to Logan International Airport. On Thursday, Oct. 9, the fast-casual chain opened a location in Terminal A. The opening of the new airport location was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony involving airport officials and Chick-fil-A staff.
As if this opening wasn't remarkable enough, the restaurant also announced a second location at Logan would open in Terminal E in early 2026, serving international travelers, said Massport Authority CEO Richard Davey.
According to a Boston.com report, the new food outlet operates Monday through Saturday, starting at 4 a.m., offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It remains closed on Sundays, consistent with all Chick-fil-A locations.
Chick-fil-A is now the third-largest quick-service restaurant in the United States and has been expanding in Massachusetts. It opened its first Boston location in Back Bay in 2022. The company also introduced its first delivery-only kitchen to Boston in September, a new location at Patriot Place in Foxborough on Oct. 2, and a Hudson location on June 5.
Earlier this year, Chick-fil-A announced plans to open 12 to 15 new restaurants across Massachusetts over the next few years, according to a MassLive report. The new restaurants are expected to create approximately 1,600 new jobs by 2027.
More than 20 Chick-fil-A locations now operate in Massachusetts.
