Now in its 17th year, the Danvers Historical Society's Parade of Trees will showcase more than 40 decorated trees and wreaths donated by local businesses, organizations, and families. The Parade of Trees festival will be held at Tapley Memorial Hall on Page Street from Wednesday, Dec. 3, through Sunday, Dec. 7.
Many of the trees and wreaths donated for the event are crafted using unusual materials and will be raffled off at the end of the festival.
Raffle tickets are $1 each, and winners will be notified after the festival closes on Dec. 7 at 3 p.m. Proceeds support the Danvers Historical Society's preservation and public programming efforts.
Viewing hours for the Parade of Trees are set for Wednesday, Dec. 3, through Friday, Dec. 5, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturday, Dec. 6, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Sunday, Dec. 7, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Over the past nearly two decades, participants have drawn on a diverse array of themes inspired by December holidays and pop culture, from classic characters to favorite icons for tree decorating.
According to a Patch of Danvers report, this year's themes include A World of Belonging, Fancy & Frosted, It's an Ice Cream World, The Elves are Busy, Light up the Links, Vroom Vroom, and Winter Woods.
