This summer, fans of FIFA World Cup soccer will turn their attention to Gillette Stadium. The FIFA 2026 World Cup will bring seven total games to Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, which will temporarily be called Boston Stadium, beginning in June, according to a report by The Enterprise. For those not familiar with the area, Foxborough is roughly 29 miles southwest of Boston.
Five of the games will be a part of the group stage round, with a round of two matches and a quarterfinal match to follow.

Drive Time and Travel Time from Logan International Airport
It can take approximately 34 minutes to reach Boston Stadium by car. However, this time can increase substantially when you factor in commuter traffic and rush hours, as well as game-day traffic on and off the highways to reach the stadium.
Boston Stadium is about 30 miles away and a roughly 38-minute drive from Logan International Airport without traffic. Again, this time can increase significantly during rush hour, when commuters drive in and out of the city or to workplaces around the region.
Taking Public Transportation to Boston Stadium/Gillette Stadium
Driving, it would take about 45 minutes to reach Boston Stadium from South Station, which is roughly 26.7 miles away.
By train, travelers could take the MBTA Commuter Rail: Franklin/Foxborough Line, which runs from South Station to Foxborough, for a roughly 60-minute to 90-minute commute. Because the Franklin/Foxborough line runs southwest from South Station to Franklin, it has 14 stops, including others in Boston, as well as Dedham, Norwood, Walpole, and Norfolk.
The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority has noted that it will run express trains from the Boston area to Boston Stadium, which are expected to go on sale next spring.
