The tenth TD Bank Small Business Takeover initiative spotlighted small businesses in Boston during the Tuesday, Jan. 13, Boston Bruins game against the Detroit Red Wings at TD Garden.
Clover, the Boston-based farm-to-table fast-casual brand, was the featured small business for the January takeover. All game advertising assets were dedicated to promoting Clover.
According to a Boston Bruins news release, during Clover's January run at the TD Garden on Level 7, fans will be able to enjoy a limited-time menu that highlights the area's winter harvest with ingredients obtained directly from local farms. Guests at TD Garden can sample the following this month:
- Chickpea Fritter Sandwich
- Home Team Chocolate Chip Cookies
- Rosemary Fries
- The Popper (a sandwich inspired by jalapeño poppers from the former Charlie Horse Tavern in Bridgewater, featuring fried Rhode Island mushrooms glazed with honey-sriracha and topped with jalapeño cream cheese and kale ribbons)
Founded in 2008, Clover aims to revitalize fast food with locally sourced ingredients. It currently operates 11 restaurants, with two more openings planned in Cambridge and Boston early this year.
“Clover's mission to transform the local food system aligns perfectly with our commitment to supporting small businesses that make a real impact in their communities,” said Sheryl McQuade, regional president of New England Metro, TD Bank, in the Bruins news release. “We're proud to spotlight Clover at TD Garden and give fans a taste of what makes this Boston-based business so special.”
According to the Bruins' release, the Small Business Takeover program began in 2017 to promote New England small businesses at Bruins home games.
