Boston’s ready to get a taste of Brooklyn when Swingers Back Bay opens its doors next month — and it’s not just about the mini golf. Emmy Squared Pizza, the New York-born favorite known for its crispy Detroit-style pies and cult-following burgers, will be the official food partner when the competitive social club tees off on Boylston Street on February 27.
The partnership brings Emmy Squared’s signature comfort food to the new Swingers location, where guests can pair a round of crazy golf or carnival games with handmade pizza, bold cocktails, and the same kind of high-energy vibe that’s made Swingers a hit in cities like London and Washington, D.C.
For those who haven’t had the pleasure, Emmy Squared started in Brooklyn and made its name with a hybrid style that combines a Detroit crust with a New York grandma pie. The result? Fluffy, focaccia-like dough topped with caramelized “frico” cheese edges and premium toppings that are anything but ordinary.
At Swingers Back Bay, the lineup will include favorites like the Roni Supreme with Ezzo pepperoni, mozzarella, and Calabrian chili; the Vodka with house-made vodka sauce and basil; and the Colony, a fan-favorite topped with pepperoni, pickled jalapeños, and a drizzle of honey. Pizzas can even be made gluten-free or vegan, which means everyone in the group can get in on the action.
If pizza isn’t your go-to, there’s plenty more to work with. Emmy Squared’s award-winning Le Big Matt Burger — a double-stack with American cheese, special sauce, and caramelized onions on a soft pretzel bun — is making the trip to Boston, along with shareable bites like waffle fries loaded with bacon and cheddar queso, or crispy “mozz” sticks straight out of Brooklyn.
To wash it all down, Swingers is rolling out a Boston-inspired cocktail menu exclusive to the Back Bay location. Drinks include the Buzzards Bay Mule with apple brandy and local cranberry liqueur, a cheekily named Masshole-in-One featuring tequila and hibiscus, and the Storm in a Tee Cup, an Earl Grey-infused rum cocktail that sounds tailor-made for Boston winter nights.
Guests can order from multiple bars around the venue, or take advantage of Swingers’ caddies — yes, beverage caddies — who deliver drinks right to the green. The new cocktail program will sit alongside crowd favorites like spritzes, frozen cocktails, wine, and local beers.
The opening marks another chapter for the growing pairing of Swingers and Emmy Squared, a partnership that’s proven successful in other cities where food, drinks, and friendly rivalry mix seamlessly.
Tickets and tee times for Swingers Back Bay are now available at swingers.club. If you’ve been waiting for a reason to bring your putting game indoors this winter, this might be it.
