Hi, everyone! My name is Rachel Huss, and I am so excited to be interning at The Andie Summers Show! This is an incredible opportunity to learn and grow in my field, and I couldn’t be more grateful.

I am a Junior at Immaculata University (Go, Macs!) studying Communications and Criminology. I am heavily involved within my school community, and cannot imagine studying anywhere else. I have been the Managing Editor for our school newspaper, The Immaculatan, for a little over a year now. I am also the Secretary for the Immaculata University Honors Society. In my free time on campus, I am a Peer Tutor helping other students reach their academic goals.

Over my junior year, I interned at Saint Agnes Parish in West Chester as a Communications Assistant. I am still at Saint Agnes, but as a temporary employee rather than an intern. I am the acting Communications Coordinator, and have loved every second of my job putting together the weekly bulletin, sending e-newsletters, corresponding in and out of the parish, and helping in any means necessary.

I do not live on campus at Immaculata University, so when I’m home, I love to get into my comfy clothes, snuggle with my dogs, and relax. I live with both of my parents, five dogs, and my little sister (when she’s home from college). I love a good hobby that helps keep me sane. I have successfully survived five semesters of college, internships, jobs, and life’s curveballs through my academics and determination, but also through downtime and self-care. I love reading thriller books, specifically anything published by Freida McFadden (even better if I’m reading on the beach). I also love doing paint-by-number on my iPad. Honestly, anything that makes you happy, I say go for it!
