Kiwi DJ Remixes Morgan Wallen’s Last Night into Awesome Summer Dance Mix
My daughter’s New Zealand boyfriend Will Thomas is a great musician and half of the band SACHI, with his longtime friend Nick Chrisp. The band is getting a big following in New Zealand and they have a new album coming out soon.
Their style is dance mix that when they perform live is so energetic and fun and contagious that you will find your feet moving to the beat. I’ve never seen them live but I have seen a lot of video’s of their performances and all I can say is ‘wow, they are really great”!
My daughter Taylor and Will stayed at our house from Thanksgiving through Christmas, so I really got to know him and their cat Lenny (you may have heard me talk about him). I often saw Will upstairs in the house or anywhere with his big studio headphones on working on his laptop. I was never really sure what he was working on so one day I said “what are you working on there Will”?
He said “pull up a seat Bob and I will show you”. He showed me how he mixes his music together to make a single, everything from the drum beats to guitar riffs to the vocals, I was really impressed.
This guy has mad skills as the kids say, plus he’s a really nice guy and fits right in with the family. We have all become fans of his band SACHI and a rooting for them to hit it big here in the U.S.A.
In the meantime, Will enjoys doing remixes of popular songs and posts them on his Youtube channel. When he sent this remix of Morgan Wallen’s “Last Night” to my wife, she was floored and sent it around to our family members and they too loved it, so I decided to share it with you. Even if you’re not a Country fan, you have to admit, this is a really fun reimaging of a song in a way that even Morgan Wallen might be tapping his boots to.
