Rising superstar, singer/songwriter Jelly Roll proves the weight of this award show. The multi-genre artist posted an emotional video, after learning of his nomination. Back in November, the “Need a Favor” singer got real in an Instagram post. “I’m not sure if I should post this or not because I’m so emotional, but the greatest honor an artist can ever hear is that they’ve been nominated for a Grammy.” He was clearly tearing up, and having a hard time even speaking. But Jelly wiped his tears and went on to say, “I got to hear that this morning. I haven’t cried like this since my daddy died. I love you all, man, so f—ing much.”
I love watching the Grammy Awards. Seeing the impact of the nominations and wins in the artists faces and words is powerful. And we all know the red carpet is a must-watch event.
