Single Women Are Using The New 6-6-6 Dating Rule
Talk about having high standards and not settling! The new 6-6-6 dating rule could be the most absurd demand list ever for single women looking for Mr. Perfect. According to an article in the NY Post.
What is the 6-6-6 dating rule all about? The first stands for how tall the man has to be at a minimum, 6 feet. The second stands for the requirement that he have 6-pack abs and the last stands for the amount of money he needs to make, 6 figures.
These women are setting themselves up for failure with these high standards, heck, I didn’t check any of these boxes when I met my wife. Thankfully she was happy with a guy who stands 5’10 with no abs in sight and was very far from making 6 figures.
Now with so many different dating apps, singles feel they can be much pickier than ever before due to the abundance of perspective daters. All they have to do is keep swiping until they find someone who matches their criteria.
Good luck with that!
Let’s face it, most men are not checking all of these boxes, a single woman would be lucky to find someone that can check 1 or maybe 2 of them.
The average height for men is roughly 5 feet 9 inches tall and very few guys are working hard enough to have 6-pack abs and the average salary for someone in their 20’s is certainly under 6 figures.
So what is it that has some women to be so restrictive about who they are willing to date? Is it that we are now living in the most shallow of times? Are people so influenced by what they see on their Instagram and Facebook pages from so called “influencers” that they feel unless they find the perfect man that matches the criteria they demand.
We wish them luck, but they might want to consider looking for a guy with a “5” instead and open up a lot more options in their dating life.
