Final Bull Found After 8 Bulls Escape Rodeo at Massachusetts Mall
UPDATE: 09/24/2024 9:15 AM – In a post on Facebook, the North Attleboro Fire Department stated that ” … the remaining bull has been safely captured.”
They added, “Thank you to the North Attleboro Police, Attleboro Police, Massachusetts State Police Air Wing, Mass Environmental Police, the New England Rodeo and the community for their assistance during the search.”

Authorities are still searching for a missing bull that was one of eight that escaped a rodeo at the Emerald Square Mall in North Attleboro, Mass. on Sunday (September 22).

The North Attleboro Fire Department has been giving updates via Facebook since the eight bulls escaped. At 3:50 PM yesterday, they wrote, “The North Attleboro Fire Department reports that the eight bulls loose from the rodeo have been safely corralled in Attleboro. There is no immediate threat to the community. Thank you to everyone who assisted and shared information with first responders.”
Twenty minutes later, they issued an update that read, “One bull is still loose, all others have been corralled in Attleboro. First responders are continuing their search for the remaining bull.”
In a statement via their website, North Attleboro Fire Chief Christopher Coleman offered a detailed report about corraling seven of the eight bulls. Chief Coleman said that one of the bulls was caught shortly after it escaped from the rodeo pen. About three hours after reports began circulating about the eight bulls escaping the rodeo, Chief Coleman said six of the bulls were found behind a residential fence at a home in town.
“North Attleboro Fire, North Attleboro Police, Attleboro Police and members from the rodeo at the mall and New England Rodeo were able to safely corral the six bulls into a trailer without further incident,” noted Chief Coleman.
At 11 AM today (September 23), the North Attleboro Fire Department shared via Facebook, “The North Attleboro Fire Department reports that rodeo personnel are still actively searching for the remaining bull on the loose. No town assets or emergency personnel are involved in today’s search efforts. Community members should exercise extreme caution and not approach the bull if found. If found, community members should call 9-1-1.”
At 12:30 PM, they issued another update on the situation and wrote, “Please be advised that the bull is still on the loose in the Allen Avenue area of North Attleboro. Rodeo personnel are continuing their search with assistance from the Massachusetts State Police Air Wing. Community members should exercise extreme caution and not approach the bull if found. If found, community members should call 9-1-1.”
As of publishing, the last of the eight bulls is still loose.
