The New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers are in a bitter battle to become the next World Series Champion. The series started in Los Angeles, the Dodgers took both games at Dodger Stadium. Then, after the series moved to New York, the Dodgers preceded to take game three, giving them a 3-0 lead for the series.
Keeping in mind, it only takes four games to win the World Series because it is a best of seven series. Many heroes of stepped up during this series including Freddie Freeman. Freeman of the Dodgers broke the record for consecutive World Series games with a homerun (currently at six) dating back to the 2021 World Series he won with the Atlanta Braves.
New York Yankees Fans Get Routy
During game four of the 2024 World Series, the Yankees are on the brink of elimination and the Dodgers are close to their second World Series championship in four years. That’s when Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts runs a ball down in the right field and catches it in foul territory, stretching himself into the stands at Yankee Stadium. Chaos then ensued.
Mookie’s reaction was evident that there was interference. The umpires agreed and ruled it an out.
