See The Winning Sand Sculptures From Hampton Beach Competition
The Annual Hampton Beach sand sculpture competition kicked off last week and the winners were drawn in the sand this past weekend.
The artists had three days to complete their projects. The theme this year was “Sand, Sun & Fun.” Although you wouldn’t know it from the winning entry. The big prize went to this provocative piece of art.
Congrats to Abe Waterman from Prince Edward Island, Canada! His submission was called “empty,” and featured a two sided face with tears and a hunched figure of a man on one side, while the other side featured a woman. Abe took home $6,000 for first place.
2nd place went to Melineige Beauregard – Montreal, Canada – for the sculpture titled,”Rebirth of Phoenix,” which also took home the “People’s Choice” award.
